Home Automatix

Home automation has become an emerging industry. Home Automatix is a small startup that was looking to ditch their old look and rebrand themselves. Their original brand and website was done quickly and out of a need to get the business going.

Some early sketches.

We helped them bring their identity in line with the type of services they offer. They are built upon the idea of control, organization, and streamlining. The brand had to reflect the quality of their service and work.

After a lot of iteration, we kept coming back to the idea of a wire that forms a house. Even though many of the home automation technologies are wireless, the wire represented connections between electronics and other elements of the home. The symbol on the end of the wire represents a cat5 cable, the cable that connects networks. This cable surrounds the home, creating an encompassing feeling.

To show off what Home Automatix can do. We decided on a single page website because of the amount and scope of the content. We played off the feeling of the brand and created a modern, but still elegant, web experience.
